OUR MISSION: The Colorado Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender ("GLBT") Bar Association is a voluntary professional association of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender attorneys, judges, paralegals and law students and allies who provide a GLBT presence within Colorado's legal community. THANK YOU to our members and sponsors! Our 6th Annual Awards Dinner on November 5, 2009 was our largest event to date. The GLBT Bar Association honored Deputy Attorney General Monica M. Marquez as the 2009 Outstanding Attorney and Brandi Lynn Nieto and Robb Miller of the Weld County District Attorney's Office as the 2009 Outstanding Allies. Our keynote speaker was Commander Dave O'Malley, Retired Police Chief of Laramie, Wyoming.

LAW STUDENT OUTREACH: The Colorado GLBT Bar Association runs a mentor/mentee program for law students and holds and sponsors educational at both the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and CU Boulder Law School. Law students are encouraged to join the Colorado GLBT Bar Association at a special rate. See our Membership page.

OUR PURPOSE: The Colorado GLBT Bar Association exists to promote the recognition of civil and human rights; promote sensitivity to legal issues faced by the GLBT community; assure the fair and just treatment of members of the GLBT community; provide opportunities for GLBT attorneys, judges, and law students and allies to interact in a professional setting; build alliances with other minority bar associations and legal organizations; and enhance the practice and professional expertise of lawyers who serve or who are members of the GLBT community.
